MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” hosts, long dogged by criticism that they’ve too chummy with Donald Trump, responded to the presumptive GOP nominee’s barbed tweets in real time during their Monday morning broadcast.
Coming back after a commercial break, co-host Mika Brzezinski said, “We were just about to report on a tweet war when we found ourself caught in the middle, sort of.”
Scarborough prompted Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin, a frequent guest on the show, to read the just-tweeted message on air.
Wow, I hear @Morning_Joe has gone really hostile ever since I said I won’t do or watch the show anymore.They misrepresent my positions!

“Exclamation point!” Scarborough said. “When did he say he wasn’t going to watch the show? I must’ve missed that one.”
“Maybe he said it to himself,” he continued. “You know what? He watches. He watches!”
“Say hi to him,” Halperin said.
Scarborough looked into the camera to address the billionaire directly.
“How you doin’, Donald? It’s very funny when you said you don’t watch the show,” he said. “I think it’s cute. Keep it up. It makes us feel good that you care that much that you tweet about us.”
Halperin tried to redirect the conversation, saying the only way a Republican can win the White House “is if the press favors them in coverage,” a chance he said Trump is missing.
A rift between Scarborough and Trump opened last week when the former GOP congressman said he wouldn’t vote for Trump unless he took back his proposed ban on Muslim immigration. Trump fired back in a series of tweets attacking the MSNBC host.
If this “feud” is authentic (and I don’t think there is anything legitimate about either Trump OR the Morning Ho) then it is just one more of, really, countless internecine disputes between Republicans. Each of them brings joy to my heart. And we still have six more months of this delight!
There is nothing cute about any of these buffoons…They have turned into raging media whores just like drump!

What a joke this is. Joe and Mika packaged and sold the Trumpster to the American public just like other news media outlets did. By asking ridiculous questions with out following up with out trying to pin down the Donald with his lies and giving him free airtime, only made the Trumpster what he is today. Now Joe and Mika are the news over this being treated badly by Donlad Trump? How naive does Joe and Mika believe the American public is of this game that they are playing to boost their ratings.
