“The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” asked Ugandans on Monday night’s episode if they would prefer Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni (who has been in power for 30 years) or Republican frontrunner Donald Trump to lead their county.
Museveni was re-elected to his fifth term last week; he has been in office since 1986. Noah has previously compared Trump to an African dictator and suggested he would be even more successful in Africa than America.
The results of the informal poll of Ugandans on the streets of Kampala were mixed.
“I don’t think Ugandans would really put up with Donald Trump and his terrible hair,” one woman said.
Another citizen said, “One thing I know is he talks a lot. Then he took on the Pope. Respect.”
