President Barack Obama will meet Tuesday with members of the Senate Banking Committee, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senate Armed Services Committees and Senate Select Committee on Intelligence to discuss Iran, according to the White House schedule.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 10:45 a.m. ET.
According to the AP, Obama is expected to use the meeting to “dissuade Congress from passing a new round of tough sanctions while delicate talks are underway to resolve concerns about Iran’s nuclear program.”
