Two Egyptian police officers were shot and killed Friday by gunmen in front of a government building located in the Sinai town of El-Arish, Hurriyet Daily News reported.
It was the latest act of violence in Sinai, a region typified by lawlessness. The gunmen, whose identities are not yet known, shot the officers as they were guarding the building.
