President Obama’s campaign manager Jim Messina sent out a fundraising e-mail to supporters Friday calling on them to donate in response to Mitt Romney’s birth certificate joke in Michigan earlier the same day.

“No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised.”
