Indiana labor groups have a new TV ad, responding to Gov. Mitch Daniels delivering the Republican response to the State of the Union tonight — focusing in on the state’s current political battle over “right-to-work” legislation, which would damage the ability of labor unions to organize and collect dues.
The ad will run right after Daniels’ speech, on broadcast networks in Indiana and nationally on CNN and MSNBC.
The spot shows video of Daniels back in September 2006: “And I have said over and over, I’ll say it again tonight — I’m a supporter of the labor laws we have in the state of Indiana. And I ain’t interested in changing any of them, not the prevailing wage law, and certainly not a right-to-work law.”
The announcer says: “Call Governor Daniels. Ask him why he no longer supporters working people.”
