After saying Monday that he’s “going to win this thing,” Mitt Romney walked back those comments on the Today show Tuesday morning, saying he doesn’t know who will win Iowa. “If I get 25 percent, if that turns out to be the case, that will most likely be the highest number, so winning is just fine. I’m not predicting a win. Maybe I get 20 percent, someone else gets 25 percent,” Romney said.
Romney’s campaign also clarified that yesterday’s comments were a reference to the nomination process overall, not Iowa, reports Politico.
