After Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump threatened to skip the next Fox News debate if host Megyn Kelly treats him “unfairly,” the network fired back, saying Tuesday in a tongue-in-cheek statement that the former reality TV star would stack his Cabinet with Twitter users.

Trump tried to reignite his one-sided feud with Kelly, saying of the debate moderator: “I don’t like her. She doesn’t treat me fairly. I’m not a big fan of hers at all…If I think I’m going to be treated unfairly, I’ll do something else.”

A Fox News spokesperson skewered Trump’s complaints about fairness in a statement provided to TPM, which said world leaders certainly won’t play by his rules if he becomes President.

Here’s the full statement:

We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings.

  3. What a crybaby. If Faux had any integrity — I know, don’t say it — they’d just tell tRump to go fuck himself.

  4. To quote the current WWE champion: in regards to Fox, Donald Trump is what’s best for business.

  5. They don’t have any integrity but that statement was basically a non-cussing “Fuck yourself” IMHO. They’re straight-up mocking him for being a wimp and telling him he’s not ready to deal with hostile figures in the world. And they’re saying walk away from the debate if you want to because we know you won’t you hollow-threat-making windbag.

ETA: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: He’s good at drawing attention to himself with misbehavior but he’s just not that smart. He thinks the media need him; what he doesn’t realize is that’s backward—he needs the media. I think Fox, having tired of being dumped on, is telling him they know it.
