The hard-right caucus reportedly plotting a coup against House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) may think they are standing up for conservative principals. But members of their own party see their antics as a boon to Democrats.

“The right-wing Marxist [sic] have teamed up with Pelosi. They’re the ones who always team up with Pelosi. They are the Pelosi Republicans,” Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), a Boehner ally, told The Hill. “The Freedom Caucus is an arm of Pelosi.”

As lawmakers brace for a possible government shutdown, Boehner’s supporters have expressed concerns that the conservative members pushing for a shutdown will use any compromise the speaker makes to avert it as an excuse to overthrow him. According to The Hill report, Democrats have said they would help keep Boehner in power if Republican hardliners attempted to unseat him.

  2. “The Freedom Caucus is an arm of Pelosi.”

I am pretty sure if that were true, Nancy would chew her arm off is she couldn’t find a sharp object to cut it off. Damn the tourniquet!!

  3. Um, if Nancy Smash was leading the Teabagger Caucus, we’d have a comprehensive Immigration Law, a second stimulus, and new Voting Rights law.

  4. Wait till asshat finds out Nancy Pelosi and her family visited Pope Pius XII in the Fifties when she was 14 years old and all that Pelosi-ish Marxism began.

  5. It’s such a stupid statement because it’s Boehner and his allies who are always going to Pelosi, hat in hand, begging her for votes to either keep the government open or keep the world economy from collapsing.

According to The Hill report, Democrats have said they would help keep Boehner in power if Republican hardliners attempted to unseat him.

If that’s the case, I sincerely hope Democrats agreed to do so only if Boehner guarantees to bring up and provide the votes necessary on key legislation, like a new VRA, criminal justice reform, climate change, and infrastructure spending. I hope Boehner will have to pay a heavy price for their votes.
