Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton leads by eight points in the latest poll of Virginia’s likely voters, a new Washington Post poll shows.

Among likely voters, Clinton leads her Republican opponent Donald Trump, 51-43, in the state of her vice presidential pick, Sen. Tim Kaine. Her lead widens to 14 points, 52-38, among registered voters.

In the four-way presidential race among likely voters, Clinton still leads, 46-39, with Libertarian Gary Johnson drawing 9 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein with 3 percent. Among registered voters, Clinton polled at 45 percent, Trump at 34 percent, Johnson at 11 percent and Stein trailed at 4 percent.

Abt-SRBI, the pollster who collected and tabulated data for the Post, has not surveyed Virginia voters in the recent past. A recent NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist College poll of Virginia’s registered voters showed Clinton leading by 13 percent, 46-33.

This poll was conducted Aug. 11-14. The survey included a sample of 888 registered Virginia voters with a margin of error of plus or minus four percent, with a subset of 707 likely general election voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percent.
