Two people were killed and at least three other teens were injured in a shooting at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California early Thursday, according to authorities who spoke to the Los Angeles Times.

The LA Times reported that sheriffs’ officials described the suspect as a 15-year-old boy who is believed to be a student at the school. The suspect was reportedly wearing a black hat and black clothing.

Although MSNBC and CNN initially reported that the suspect was found dead, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said that the suspect is in custody and has been hospitalized.
