Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) chose to use his time for questions to grill Michael Cohen over a “#sexy” “Women for Cohen” Twitter account, an exchange that culminated in an odd admission from Cohen.

The Wall Street Journal reported in January that Cohen not only paid an IT firm to rig online polls in favor of Trump during the election, but also to make him a female fan account on Twitter.

After Cohen explained that the account was created for “fun” by a woman who worked for Red Finch, the firm, during a “stressful time” of the campaign, Jordan questioned whether Cohen lied to “protect the President or did you lie to help yourself?”

“I’m not sure how it helped me, sir,” Cohen admitted, as both let out an embarrassed chuckle. “I would like to note that more than half the people on that site are men.”

Weird flex, but okay.

Sometimes the only thing that can lighten my mood is to remember that Hillary actually won the popular vote quite handily. I know that is worth a bucket of warm spit, but it keeps me from dwelling on the idea that maybe we are just too stupid to be trusted with democracy.
