Conservatives are so obsessed with hating Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) that she evokes ire from them simply by doing nothing.
During much of President Trump’s State of the Union address, Ocasio-Cortez remained seated with a straight face. Her lack of joy during Trump’s speech was too much some conservatives, and they lashed out on Twitter, mocking her body language.

– Stopping sex traffickers
– The "common good"
– ICE agent who saved 300 girls from smugglers
– Not killing full term babies

The conservative freakout prompted Ocasio-Cortez to defend herself, arguing there was no reason she should feel obligated to applaud policies she disagrees with.

Her responses have become very measured, very specific and to the exact point of each snarky push against her.
She’s becoming a great “barrister”.

There’s so many who just cannot abide a young, smart woman, especially a young, smart Latino woman. "Just who does she think she is?’
