In an interview with Sirius XM Radio Thursday, just hours before he was arrested and charged with seven counts related to the 2016 election, former Trump associate Roger Stone confidently told radio hosts Jim Norton and Sam Roberts that special counsel Robert Mueller still has “no evidence” of crimes against him.

“Well, it’s like that movie ‘Groundhog’s Day,'” he said when asked how he was holding up. “It’s 2019, I’m still under federal investigation despite two and a half years of the government reading all my emails, all my text messages, listening to all my phone calls and still they have no evidence of Russian collusion, WikiLeaks collaboration, or any other crime. It just seems to be never ending.”

He also compared the ongoing investigation to a “proctological exam.”

Stone was arrested in a pre-dawn raid by the FBI on Friday and was indicted by a grand jury Thursday on charges of obstructing an official proceeding, making false statements and witness tampering.

Stone called into the radio show on Thursday and discussed a number of topics, including the Mueller probe, the creation of a Roger Stone character on “Family Guy,” his “Best and Worst Dressed List” and whether he thinks White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is leaking from the White House.
