A crop of popular liberal freshmen—Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA)—and returner Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) have been appointed to the House Oversight Committee, vested with the power to investigate President Donald Trump.

Committee chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) approved the new members, according to a Tuesday Politico report.

“I am excited — there were a lot of people that wanted to come on our committee,” he told Politico.
