White House press secretary Jay Carney said Wednesday the Obama Administration will go forward with its nomination of Gen. John Allen for NATO Supreme Allied Commander-Europe after an investigation connected to the David Petraeus scandal cleared him of any wrongdoing. Carney said the White House welcomes the results of the investigation and urges the Senate to confirm the general quickly.
