Donald Trump on Friday argued that Mitt Romney’s main mistake during the 2012 elections was that he didn’t spend enough time talking about his own success.
“If Mitt Romney made one mistake,” Trump said, speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference, “it’s that he didn’t talk enough about his success. Because honestly, people really want success. They want a leader that’s successful.”
Trump also took the opportunity to talk about some of his own success.
“I’ve made over $8 billion,” he said. “I’ve employed tens of thousands of people. And yet I’m continually criticized by total light weights all over the place. It’s unbelievable.”
