Jon Stewart is counting down the days until his final ‘The Daily Show” and is taking every opportunity to mention Republican presidential candidate and real estate mogul Donald Trump, including on Tuesday night with President Barack Obama’s visit to Africa.
Obama visited Lucy, the female hominid found who shows evidence of bipedalism and other characteristics which extended the evolutionary chain, at the National Museum of Ethiopia on Monday. His African hosts couldn’t resist a Trump joke, telling Obama it was evidence he was related to Trump.
“The things we share are music and Trump jokes,” Stewart said .
But Obama’s first visit to Africa wasn’t completely overshadowed by Trump. Other Republican candidates made the rounds on cable news denouncing the historic Iran nuclear deal. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said Obama was marching Israelis to the “door of the oven.”
“You wish your critics back home were still spouting that birther nonsense,” Stewart said. “They’ve moved onto ‘Your Iran Deal Makes You Hitler.’ “
Stewart was also not over being ditched by Republican presidential candidate and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) on Monday.
“My guest tonight: A gentleman by the name of Tom Cruise … because some people named Cruz didn’t have the balls to come do the show, Senator ‘Oh I’ve Got To Stay in Washington And Do Business’.”

Is it too soon to publicly admit I’ve OD’ed on Trump jokes?
Last night’s show was even lamer than the previous ones. It’s like they are just going through the motions as they wind down, are goofing around, and aren’t trying as hard to make a quality show.
