Stephen Colbert bid adieu to the latest fallen 2016 tribute, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) from District Thirsty, in his recurring Hungry For Power Games segment on Thursday night’s episode of “The Late Show.”
Rubio suspended his campaign after a disappointing second-place finish in his home state of Florida.
“So for the record, Florida votes yes on Jimmy Buffet, yes on releasing pythons into toilets,” Colbert said. “On Marco Rubio? No thanks.”

“Rubio was the last tribute fighting on behalf of the establishment of Capitol City,” Colbert said. “He was supposed to become the Jeb Bush people liked. Instead, he became The Jeb Bush.”

Looks like the only county he won was Dade! He now he can get back to work…ha ha ha I crack myself up…
Poor Marco del Narco. Off to Lobby Land.
Political satire is dead: the premise that if we laugh, we won’t be dumb enough to give the lunatics power is false. Nothing could be further from the truth, at least since Reagan and the Bush crime family.
Colbert using the Hunger Games as a metaphor for the 2016 election started off as weak satire, but is starting to turn out to be absolutely brilliant. The gamesmakers are losing control of the game.
