Jindal Is The Latest Fallen Tribute In 2016’s Hungry For Power Games (VIDEO)

The Hungry For Power Games paid its final respects to the latest fallen tribute in the 2016 presidential race, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Jindal suspended his campaign Tuesday.

The recurring segment on Wednesday’s episode of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” is a riff on the tournament in Suzanne Collins’ wildly successful novels. Colbert adopts a version of of Hunger Games host Caesar Flickerman.

Jindal never polled higher than 1 percent.

“Bobby, I have some terrible news about the Tooth Fairy,” Colbert said. “She’s not voting for you either!”

Colbert previously paid respects to 2016’s other fallen tributes: former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee and former Sen. Jim Webb, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. 2016 today, 2016 tomorrow, 2016 forever.

  1. Awesome. I’ve been looking forward to that since Jindal announced he was “suspending his campaign.” Colbert did not disappoint.

    That is brilliant!

  3. and just what I needed this morning - a good laugh

  4. Jindal was in the race to contribute to sound bites against Trump in national elections: “Donald Trump is shallow. He has no understanding of policy. He is full of bluster. He has no substance. He lacks the intellectual curiosity to even learn.” Which is actually all positive for Republican voters.

Unfortunately, no one even knows who Jindal is, other than Piyush’s household.
