Colbert’s ‘Hungry For Power Games’ Pays Respect To Latest Fallen Tribute Scott Walker (VIDEO)

Stephen Colbert’s 2016 segment, “The Hungry For Power Games” — based off the wildly successful novels series by Suzanne Collins and movie franchise — paid respect to the latest fallen tribute of the 2016 presidential race, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker.

Walker suspended his campaign Monday.

“Though he may be quitting, he’s doing it in the most noble way possible,” Colbert said, dressed as his version of Hunger Games host Caesar Flickerman. “By asking others to quit too.”

Walker, hailing from District Cheese, only started his campaign on July 13.

“Alas, like so many Wisconsin export, he soured in the summer heat,” Colbert said.

2016 today, 2016 tomorrow, 2016 forever.

  1. I love these segments Of the late night crowd Colbert is the best with the political jokes.

  2. Gee, I didn’t realize TPM was now owned by Entertainment Weekly. When did that happen?

  3. Yeah–we wouldn’t want to be entertained, would we?

  4. So, so good. Not only deeply entertaining (and yet informing!) in its own right, but I’m excited for all the future “tributes” as well.
