Defense Secretary Leon Panetta will this week lay out a plan to cut hundreds of billions of dollars from the Pentagon’s budget, senior officials tell the New York Times.
The cuts will come from a wide range of military spending areas: warships, salaries, the nuclear arsenal and benefits, according to the report.
