A political organization supporting the reelection of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) next year is running an ad touting his battles against the Affordable Care Act.
“Mitch McConnell saw it coming, leading the fight against Obamacare,” says a narrator in the ad by the Kentucky Opportunity Coalition. “On health care, Mitch McConnell stood with Kentuckians from day one.”
The 30-second spot is set to run on stations in Louisvilla and Lexington for one week at a cost of $109,000, according to Politico.
McConnell played a preeminent role in slowing down and weakening parts of Obamacare prior to its passage, uniting Republican senators in opposition of President Obama’s effort.
