Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus affirmed Thursday that he believed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is eligible to run for President.
Priebus had previously avoided saying whether he believed Cruz was a “natural born citizen” eligible to run for commander-in-chief in an interview with Time. Cruz was born in Canada to a mother who is a U.S. citizen and Cuban father.
“He is eligible,” Priebus told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Wednesday, adding that the Time interview was three days old. “But I’ve done many interviews, and I have said that he’s eligible. All of our candidates are eligible.”
“What you’re referring to is sometimes my knee-jerk reaction to a lot of these things when I say, look, I’m not getting in the middle of this argument,” Priebus continued. “As far as that question goes it is my opinion is that he is.”
Oh well, there you go. Reince Priebus has said he’s eligible. Discussion over.
I guess it’s settled now that this diminutive empty suit has rendered his opinion.
remind me again… which Constitutional law courses has little Reince on his resume?
Republican = Moron. Duh!
Thanks Reince. Your objectivity and legal acumen are above reproach. I fully accept everything you’ve done, thought, or said since you arrived from the mother ship.
