Officials: Reported Fire At 1 World Trade Center A False Alarm

Authorities say a reported fire on the 88th floor of 1 World Trade Center was a false alarm, the AP and others report. A Port Authority spokesman told the New York Observer there was no fire. A Fire Department spokesman told the paper it may have been a “welding incident.”
