“The Nightly Show” welcomed refugees to Texas with their own video on Tuesday night’s episode so the state’s tourism board didn’t have to.
“Welcome to Texas, my little refugee friends,” the video opens. “You’re going to live in the rootinest, tootinest state in all the land. You’re moving from a desolate land of oil and guns to a breathtaking land of oil and guns.”
The video gives six pointers to fit in — from remembering that even bigotry is bigger in Texas to the tendency to overeat and edit history from textbooks.
