Host Larry Wilmore had a few questions on Monday’s episode of “The Nightly Show” for actor and sometimes writer Sean Penn about his recent sit-down with Sinaloa Cartel’s kingpin known as “El Chapo.”
“Sean Penn and El Chapo had a sit down. Why would you cozy up to a monster like that? Seriously, El Chapo, it’s Sean Penn,” host Larry Wilmore said.
“And you spent seven hours with him? Wilmore continued. “Did you turn yourself in, El Chapo?”

Off topic, but if they ever do a remake of To Kill a Mockingbird, Sean Penn would make an excellent Atticus Finch
Heh – I completely agree with Wilmore on this one. Seems many commenters on TPM reflexively defended Penn against criticisms without even reading the ridiculous piece.
