A new ABC/Washington Post poll shows President Obama’s job approval rating rising to 49% – the highest point since last spring.

His ratings stand in contrast to the approval of the two parties in Congress where Democrats beat Republicans 27% to 20%, the lowest they’ve been since 1994. It’s possible that as Congress continues to stall, Obama begins to look good by comparison, or at least, not fully culpable for the stalemate in Washington.
