Paul Manafort’s attorney Kevin Downing responded to President Donald Trump’s expression of sympathy¬†on Friday for his former campaign chairman going through a “very sad” trial.

According to CNN, Downing told reporters outside the federal courthouse in Virginia, where a jury is deliberating the case, that the team “really appreciates the support of President Trump.”
