A Kentucky man accidentally shot himself in the hand with a shotgun while riding an All Terrain Vehicle on Saturday.
According to Kentucky State police, John Doughtery of West Liberty Kentucky was riding his ATV on private property when a shotgun he had on the vehicle fell off, accidentally discharging and hitting Dougherty in the hand. Dougherty was treated by EMS personnel at the scene and then taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington by PHI Air Medical.
According to a police report, Dougherty is listed in stable condition.
