Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush called the Oregon militia takeover “inappropriate” and that they should cease and desist.

A small group of armed militiamen has been occupying a wildlife refuge that sits on federal land in rural Oregon. Bush commented on the situation during an interview with an Iowa radio station.

“I think it’s wrong. I think it’s inappropriate and they should cease and desist,” Bush said. “Having said that, the federal government ought to be much more differential to states and localities and shift power back to states and localities — including land.”
