Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee upped the ante on the anti-refugee response to Friday’s Paris attack. The 2016 candidate said not only should all Syrian refugees be prohibited from settling in America, but in a Time op-ed called for a ban on “ALL visas for travelers and tourists from any country with a significant ISIS or al-Qaeda presence.”
The op-ed also called Republicans who have called for a ban on only Muslim Syrian refugees “misguided,” as “terrorists will say anything to infiltrate America – including lying about their religion.”
Additionally, he used the Paris attacks to argue for Mexican border fence.
“Paris should be a wake-up call for the Washington establishment and many in the GOP who support open borders and out-of-control amnesty,” he wrote.
So far, the attackers who have been identified from the Paris assault have all been European Union nationals, though a few of the assailants remain unidentified.
Does he even know what a state is? Does he know what a visa is? How would the state even know if you had a visa? Sometimes I think the GOP is onto something that gives them good political optics that are hard to counter. But this…this one just makes them sound like pussies.
