Fox News may have given viewers surprised by the Brexit result a further shock early Friday morning when it reported that the U.K. had left the United Nations.
As Prime Minister David Cameron announced his resignation in response to the U.K.’s vote to leave the European Union, the network showed a chryon saying the “UK votes to leave UN.”
The slip-up caught attention on Twitter, providing a brief moment of levity on a day that has shaken financial markets and laid the U.K.’s deep political divide bare.

The vote to leave won with 51.9 percent, while the remain option was close behind with 48.1 percent.
