As we reported earlier, it doesn’t seem likely that the Union Leader will be endorsing Herman Cain anytime soon. Could Mitt Romney be making a play for the paper’s support?
Politico has just published a photo of Union Leader publisher Joe McQuaid dining next to Mitt Romney at the paper’s Santa Fund luncheon in Manchester New Hampshire. Also seated at the table are Gov. John Lynch (D-NH) and Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas.
Romney isn’t considered a favorite to secure the Union Leader’s highly coveted endorsement, but at least he’s paying his respects to the paper by showing up.
