Super Paul: PAC Selling Ron Paul Action Figures

It’s a bird. It’s a plane (with passengers never screened by the TSA). It’s Rep. Ron Paul!

A super PAC supporting Paul, Revolution PAC, is selling action figures of the candidate to raise money for their efforts. There are two options seen on the website — the “Commander-in-chief Ron Paul” model, complete with a snug fitting black suit and a rolled up copy of the US Constitution in his hand, and “Super-hero Ron Paul,” in which the congressman wears a blue and red suit like Superman.

And yet, even this bit of fun doesn’t pass without the political. “Barack Obama certainly doesn’t have a corner on the action figure market,” remarks Revolution PAC chair Gary Franchi in a release. “Ron Paul proved he could go head to head with Obama in the Jones Soda bottle ballots during the 2008 campaign. I’m quite confident that he’ll be competitive in the collectible toy demographic as well.”

Franchi continued in the release, “Discerning consumers recognize a rare and valuable offering when they see it. Plus, they know that – unlike Barack Obama – this is the only way that Ron Paul can be bought.”

Paul announced today that he’ll be flying past the Florida Primary on his way to Nevada and Colorado, possibly with just a single bound, maybe one for each location.
