With Super Tuesday fast approaching, Stephen Colbert admitted on Thursday that Mitt Romney has the momentum, or “Mitt-mentum.”
It hasn’t been easy for conservatives to coalesce around Romney, which Colbert reminded viewers of with his “Countdown to Loving Mitt” clock. As of Thursday there were only five days, 23 hours and 56 minutes before “conservatives are obliged to bury our feelings and find Mitt Romney attractive,” Colbert said.
But what about that other Republican white knight? “Of course!” Colbert said. “Jeb Bush. America is hungry for another leader from that talented family.”
“The Bush presidential trilogy will finally be complete with the return of the Jeb-i,” Colbert added.
