We’re not quite sure what it means. But the Supreme Court has issued a stay in the case of Duane Buck, 48, who was scheduled to be executed this evening in Texas. A lot of people get executed in Texas. And it’s a pretty rare day when the US Supreme Court intervenes. In this case, it has added political implications because the Gov. of Texas is running to be president. And he’s made a point of pride in the state’s record on capital punishment and his confidence that everyone executed is guilty.
