The Republican carnival barkers who gin up “vote fraud” claims went remarkably quiet as soon as the election results were in.
It prompts TPM Reader CH, with tongue firmly in cheek, to hatch her own conspiracy theory:
Well, it’s obvious that there was massive voter fraud, by the fact that so many Republicans won!
After all, only the Republicans and their supporters would have had the money to bus hundreds of thousands of Mexicans across the border to all 50 states, after first obtaining the needed “registrations” 30 days before the election. Only the Republicans could sufficiently pay these brown-skinned terrorists to infiltrate the American electoral system – after all, the penalties for vote fraud are high for US citizens, and could be much worse for non-citizens! Only the Republicans could afford the needed wardrobing and some rudimentary language lessons to get these folks to be able to blend in with real Americans on Election Day.
And we know Republicans have had a history of engineering election fraud many times over. We know they’re big on “projection.” So, given that right wingers have been accusing the Democrats of setting up voter fraud for several months now is the final proof that they themselves were doing it.
And quite successfully, I might add.
Now I must fabricate a new aluminum tinfoil hat, with earflaps, because winter is coming.
