I don’t think I knew we had a Space Weather Prediction Center, but we do, run by NOAA. On Saturday, scientists there observed a Coronal Mass Ejection that they anticipated would cause a moderate geomagnetic storm when it reached earth. It arrived last night in the Western Hemisphere generating amazing northern lights as far south as Arkansas. Check out the pics.
