Eight years after the notorious phone-jamming incident on Election Day in New Hampshire led to federal criminal convictions of Republican operatives, state Democrats are reporting phone outages today at offices around the state.
We’ve been looking into, and at this point it’s not exactly clear what’s happening. In a twist, state Republicans say they’re having phone problems, too, and Comcast has put out a statement saying extremely high call volume from election-related robocalls is causing congestion on its network.
But it’s not entirely clear if the Comcast problems are the cause of the problems Democratic and Republican offices are experiencing — or whether what is affecting Democrats is the same thing Republicans are reporting.
More when we know it.
