House Democrats are caucusing now to elect their leaders for the new Congress. Word from the meeting, via our Brian Beutler, is that Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR), who is pushing for a delay in electing new leaders until December, has succeeded in getting a vote on such a delay. The caucus is now voting on DeFazio’s proposal.
Late Update: DeFazio’s delay proposal failed 129-68.
