This morning CBS/Quinnipiac released a poll of Ohio showing President Obama holding a 5 point lead in the state, specifically Obama 50%, Romney 45%. Since early October, we’ve seen a slew of polls of Ohio ranging from mid-single digits leads to ties. Only one — and that a low quality poll — has had Romney in the lead. But not all polls are created equal. We’ve only had a few premium, live caller, cell/landline polls. And this is one of them. This is a significant tightening against CBS/Quinnipiac’s last poll. But it points to Obama holding on to a real lead in this critical state.
