“The President has not yet provided enough specifics about his Social Security reform plan to know what he’s really proposing. However, based on what heâs heard so far, Senator Lieberman does have serious concerns about the President’s plans. The senator does not support a privatization carve-out plan that would jeopardize retirement security or add to the debt. He would consider reforms that strengthen Social Security and enhance personal savings.”
