Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, best known for admitting he smoked crack, revealed his holiday shopping mantra on Thursday.
“Just money. Women love money,” he said on the “Sports Junkies” radio show when asked what he was getting his wife for Christmas.
Ford said that ultimately, women just want cash.
“Give them a couple of thousand bucks and they’re happy. Get some treats on the side obviously for her,” he said. “At the end of the day, she wants her cash. So I give her a nice cheque and we’re all happy.”
Though Ford consistently gifts with cash, he says presents form his wife are always a great surprise.
“She always surprises me. I have a fantastic wife,” he said.
Ford also got in the holiday spirit on Tuesday by singing and dancing to reggae and Christmas music at a city council meeting.
