The Obama campaign is using Paul Ryan’s voting record on issues important to women in order to bolster their own campaign. Though the Ryan pick helped turn the conversation to his own budget in recent days, his voting record on these issues will also play a big role in the campaign. An email from Jen O’Malley Dillon, deputy campaign manager, asks supporters to join Women for Obama after reading the following on Ryan:

Mitt Romney’s VP Pick:

>Would ban common forms of birth control

>Would eliminate a woman’s right to choose

>Voted to end funding for Planned Parenthood

>Voted against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act

Tell Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan:

We Won’t Go Back

The birth control bullet is a reference to Ryan’s co-sponsorship of a fetal personhood bill, which would ban all abortions and could ban forms of hormonal birth control and IUDs as well.
