GOPer Kirk Outraises Dem By $1M In Race For Obama’s Old Senate Seat

Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL), who’s running against Democrat Alexi Giannoulias for President Barack Obama’s old Senate seat, reports that he’s raised $1 million more than his Democratic opponent.

Giannoulias reported raising $1.2 million in the first quarter — compared to Kirk’s $2.2 million

The Kirk campaign reports having raised $6.6 million so far, with $3 million still in the bank.

The TPM Poll Average shows Kirk leading Giannoulias 39.2% to 36.6%

Illinois’ primaries were held in February. The general election is Nov. 2
