Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs, one of President Donald Trump’s biggest cable news cheerleaders, appears to be concerned with the GOP blowback the President received for his abrupt move to pull U.S. troops from Turkey’s border in northeastern Syria.

After defending Trump’s move and criticizing the Republican opposition to it on his show Monday night, Dobbs responded to his guest Corey Lewandowski’s call to “take care of something called America First.”

“He is the President,” Dobbs said. “He has the power to shut down the nonsense whether it’s emanating from the DHS, from within his own White House and his own advisers.”

Dobbs then called on Trump to “connect back” with the middle class.

It’s time for this President, and I salute him, to connect back with the people who put him in this White House: the American people,” Dobbs said. “Not Wall Street and not the swamp. And not corporate America and not Tim Cook. But, you know, Mr. and Mrs. America who live on streets all over this country in middle class neighborhoods and neighborhoods that aspire to be middle class. That’s who his people are.”

Dobbs added that he “sees more corporate CEOs parading out of that White House than I ever thought possible under this President.”

  1. More evidence that Republicans are edging away from Trump…can you imagine hearing this kind of thing a year ago? I doubt they will fully separate, just because they fear the racists Trump has woken up and don’t think they can win elections without them. It’s a dripping faucet though, if Trump continues to go down things will really start to flow.

Sure, sure, sure…connect back to the 66+M Trump voters (mind you, that excludes the rest of Americans voters) thus…

Trump can CON the Non-1% Trump voters so that he could give tax cuts to the 1% Trump voters again!

The Repubs are trying to whistle for their dog, but after so much time off leash, he may have forgotten how to heel.

  4. Trump should defect, not connect.

So what new nonsense is emanating from the DHS? And those that are left in WH are all “yes sir, right away sir”.

And Lou who are those “Middle Americans” that you want him to speak to? The ones that will see their buying power diminish? The ones that are getting higher premiums and deductibles on their medical insurance?
