Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Saturday that he thought Bill Clinton should apologize for what he said to the Black Lives Matter protesters that interrupted his campaign event for rival Hillary Clinton.

Clinton defended his wife and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton used years ago — calling some children from crime-ridden communities “superpredators.”

Clinton herself said she wouldn’t use those words today.

“I think the president owes the American people an apology for trying to defend what’s indefensible,” Sanders told a crowd gathered in Harlem.
