President Obama is not expected to attend the Clinton Global Initiative next week while he’s in New York for the first time since taking office, according to a Politico report Tuesday.

It is the first year Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has run for office since Obama has been President.

“Given Pope Francis’ trip, the State Visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping, and the convening of the United Nations General Assembly this week, an appearance at the Clinton Global Initiative was just not something we could fold into the president’s schedule this year,” said White House spokesman Eric Schultz, according to Politico. “As the president has said in his previous appearances at CGI, he deeply values the critical work done by the Foundation around the world.”

Secretary of State John Kerry and Vice President Joe Biden are also not expected to attend, according to the publication.
