Fox News host Sean Hannity’s show Thursday grappled with such pressing contemporary issues as whether women should be in the workplace at all.

Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes and Fox contributor Tamara Holder quickly devolved from a discussion about the gender pay gap to whether women would be better off just staying at home.

“Women do earn less in America, because they choose to!” said McInnes, who left Vice in 2007. “They would rather go to their daughter’s piano recital than stay all night at work working on a proposal.”

Holder’s jaw dropped.

“They’re less ambitious,” McInnes, author of “The Death of Cool” and “How to Piss in Public,” continued. “And I think this is God’s way, this is nature’s way, of saying women should be at home with the kids, they’re happier.”

“I hope that your viewers do not take you, sir, seriously,” Holder replied. “Your comments are absolutely deplorable.”

She turned to Hannity.

“Sean, I would like you to address this. You’re a father, you have a daughter,” she said, but was cut off by McInnes, who continued to hammer home his point that women are “less ambitious” and belong at home.

“Why am I here?” Holder asked.

“You made a mistake! You would be much happier at home with a husband,” McInnes shouted at her.

“Oh boy,” Sean Hannity said, smiling. His crew could be heard laughing in the background.
